This month Sofie had her first taste of red meat. We don't eat much meat and since she was so small we were worried about feeding it to her since she didn't have many teeth and of course meat doesn't really melt in your mouth. Now that she has almost eight teeth and her Abuelitos made carne asada just for her today 12/11/2010 was the day. Most foods she has accepted pretty well so to no surprise she loved it. Afterward Daddy and I felt kinda sad and almost uneasy about feeding her red meat with all the talks about mistreated cows, hormones, etc. However she didn't eat a whole cow and it wasn't going to be a daily or even weekly event. However we had decided if we were going to give her meat of any kind it was going to be some form of white meat that was organic and veg fed. Too bad Mom and Dad can not do the same for themselves however there is hope.
