Exploring your environment is always wise especially to know what may be lurking in a box or underneath your bed. Since Sofie is our first and only child at this point all of this is new to us. But she not only looks, she also places things in the most random places and will later go back to find them. We have a dresser next to her crib and today we found a binkie in both middle drawers. Although she is not suppose to play with the dresser because of the sharp corners we couldn't help but laugh. Of course we had been looking for the extra binkies since she has been teething on overdrive.
